He was predeceased by: his father Arthur Harris Sr.; and his wife Barbara Smith Harris. He is survived by: his sons, Kevin Harris (Holly Carter) of Maceo and Bryan Wood (Nora) of Heflin, Alabama; his grandchildren, Elijah Carter of Maceo, Paxton Harris of Maceo, Scarlett Harris of Maceo and Scott Barlow of Heflin; and his siblings-in-law, David Smith (Karen) and Della Howard of Owensboro.
