She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Simpson and Mary Simpson; her husband Steve Cruse; and her sister Becky Oldham. She is survived by: her children, Kim Miller (Travis), Stephanie Morrison (Charlie) and Mike Ash (Allison); her grandchildren, Cruse, Michaela Ash, Raegan and Riley Morrison; and her sisters, Sharon Choate (Ronnie) and Carol Ann Choate (Paul).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Upton Baptist Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
