He was predeceased by: his parents, Granvil Shines and Dema Butler Shines; and his wife Erline Shines. He is survived by: his daughter Hannah Thompson (Dillan) of Campbellsville, KY; his stepdaughter Jennifer Adams (Paul); his brother-in-law Manley Maynard Jr.; his grandchildren, Millie, Dillan Jr., ElliJo and Lainie; and his stepgrandchildren, Jacob Noel, Raelyn Young and Paul Adams III. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
