William Markert Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Markert of Union, Kentucky, who passed away on August 5, 2024, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William Markert to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Markert and Anna Markert of Louisville, KY; his siblings, Carl Markert and Thelma Davis; and his spouse LaVerne B. Markert.

He is survived by: his friend William; his daughters, Janice M. Miles (William) and Suzanne M. Remfry (Tony); his grandchildren, Holly Moore (Brandon), Lindsey McCraw (Adam) and Hayley Mantooth (Luke); his great grandchildren, Brandt, Judson, Drew, Jackson, Logan and Levi; and his stepchildren, Dianne T. Staggs (Robert), Emmett G. Taylor (Janet), Carolyn T. Greer (James) and Lucinda T. Graham (C. E.). He is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
