He is survived by: his wife Sandy Starnes Whalen; his children, Shannon Bedel (Jeremy) and Scott Gabbard (Amanda); his grandchildren, Allyson Craddock (Matthew), Tyler Davis (Kim), Ashlee Brockell, Ayden Gabbard and Emily Bedel; his great grandchildren, Owen Craddock and Alaya Davis; his siblings, Marty Whalen (Vickie), Joyce Ellis (Tim) and Beth Amrhein (Tim); his mother-in-law Dorothy Starnes; and his siblings-in-law, Mike Starnes (Jenny), Doug Starnes (Tonya) and Becky Kendall (Rockie). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
