He was predeceased by: his grandparents, LaVerne, Edwin Hokkanen, Delores and Joseph Knapper; and his aunts and uncles, Edwin (Butch), John, Alan Hokkanen, Cindy, Patty Knapper, Bertha Hokkanen and Marilyn Hokkanen.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Hokkanen of Union; his children, Penelope Hokkanen and Theodore Hokkanen; his parents, Bill Hokkanen and Cathy Hokkanen of Andover, Minnesota; and his brothers, Paul Hokkanen of Hoffman Estates and Adam Hokkanen of Charlotte. He is also survived by his wife and children, and as a cherished older brother and eldest son to his immediate family.
In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund has been established for Brian and Ellen's children, Penny and Theo, in care of Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home.
