She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Vanhoose and Rilda Daniel Vanhoose; and her siblings, James Kenneth Vanhoose, Emma Jean Preston, Neva Vanhoose and Louise Milligan.

She is survived by: her husband Jake "Bud" Salyers Jr.; and her son John Richie Salyer.
