She was predeceased by: her parents, Estes Jones and Lillie Pearl Latham Jones; her husband Norris Ray Shumate; her siblings, Ed Jones, David Hightower and Bessie Powell; her grandson Nick Shumate; and her great grandchild Wyatt Layen Powell.
She is survived by: her children, Danny Shumate (Beth) of Hopkinsville, KY, David Shumate of Elkton, KY, Steve Shumate of Trenton, KY, Sharon Carver of Hopkinsville, KY and Shelley Markham of Elkton; and her grandchildren, Todd, Shannon Shumate, Megan Hobson, Kelly Jarillo, Tara Powell, Terri Lynn Lewis, Michael Murphy, Drew Pool, Stephany Pool and Shelbi Markham. She is also survived by 16 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
