She was predeceased by: her parents, Bland Ballard and Margaret Kelly Ballard; her husband Luther Shepherd; and her siblings, BJ Ballard and Terry Linnaman.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Turner (Carlos) of Totz, Bryon Sergent (Renee) of Texas and Charles Sergent (Holly) of North Carolina; her stepchildren, Jennifer Newbury (Steve) of South Carolina and Tim Shepherd (Olga) of Corbin; her sister Victoria Simmons of Arizona; her grandson Connor Turner; her stepgrandchildren, Jordan, Brianna, Tiffany, Jackson, Emily, Linda Grace, Julia and Joshua; and her great grandchildren, Sarah, Nolan and Harlo.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the TRI City Funeral Home (506 Holly St, Benham, KY 40807). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
