He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy Mitchell and Edna Mitchell of Corbin; his daughter Edna Mae McCoy of Indiana; his grandsons, Aaron Mitchell and Landon Jeridyah Williams; his stepmother Mable Mitchell of Corbin; and his siblings, Loretta, Willa Mae, Janie, Dorothy, Elaine and James Mitchell.
He is survived by: his wife Polly Mitchell of Totz; his daughters, JoAnn Widmann of Knoxville, TN, Melynda Chappell of Totz and Angela Creech of Louisville; and his siblings, Clarence Mitchell of Corbin and Freida Burkhart of Harlan. He is also survived by Nieces and Nephews.
