He was predeceased by: his parents, Eunice Marie "Vibbert" and Joe Jefferson Copas; his grandson William Elliot Brown; and his siblings, Glathey Elizabeth Strode, Stella Price, Charlie Copas, Roy Wayne Copas, John David Copas and Gary "Frosty" Copas.
He is survived by: his wife Betty "Smith" Copas of Tompkinsville; his son Robert J. Copas (Linda) of Tompkinsville; his stepchildren, Betty J. Hunter (Billy) of Tompkinsville, Lisa Walker (Junior) of Gamaliel, Sheila F. Brown of Pulaski, TN, Janea C. Ray of Lebanon, TN and Joey Brown (Betty Joe) of Barren County, KY; his siblings, Freddie Copas of Tompkinsville, Joyce Pedigo of Tompkinsville, Betty Pennington of Hestand, KY and Barbara Sue Stewart of Tompkinsville; and his granddaughter Munchkin Copas. He is also survived by seven step grandchildren; and nine step great grandchildren.
