She was predeceased by: her parents, Mitchell Shirley, Sr. and Mary T Shirley (Eddie L. Bennett Sr.); and her siblings, Mitchell Shirley Jr. and Rosie Coe. She is survived by: her sons, Eddie (Stacey Bennett) of Tompkinsville, KY, Joe (Carolyn Bennett) of Tompkinsville, KY, Robert (Andria Bennett) of Tompkinsville, KY and Walter (Jean Bennett) of Indiana; her grandchildren, Tony, Marie, Shawn, Amber, Taylor, Ticha, Rae Rae, Mara, Drew, Prince, JoJo, Joseph, Heaven, Kiara, Kyiesha, Malachi, Mataya, Justin, Jerica and Quincey; her niece Claire Crawford; and her nephews, Fred Shirley, Christy and Alexander Shirley. She is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren.
