We are sad to announce that on November 16, 2020, at the age of 83, Shirley Piercy of Tompkinsville, Kentucky passed away. She was predeceased by: her parents, Owen Cleo and Lennis Elizabeth Bybee (Wright); her husband James Piercy; her daughters, Kathy York and Beth Turner; her daughter-in-law Lisa Short; her grandson Jamie Short; her sister-in-law Anna Lee Bybee; and the father of her children James Arlee Short.
She is survived by: her children, David of Tompkinsville, Willis Short of Tompkinsville and Karen Bartley (Benny) of Tompkinsville; her stepdaughter Teresa Stanley (Jim) of Livingston, Tennessee; her brother Bobby Dale Bybee of Tompkinsville; her sons-in-law, Terry York and Junior Frazier of Tompkinsville; her grandchildren, Brookie Short, Brandy Hatcher, Lucas, Terri Lyndsey Brown, Brandon York, Lauren Carter and Chasity Biggerstaff; her niece Tishia Bartley; and her nephew Earl Dale Bybee. She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, from 4:00 p. m. until 8:00 p. m. At the request of the family, and to help combat the spread of Covid-19, we ask that you refrain from physical contacts, such as handshaking, and hugs.
