He was predeceased by : his parents, Elmer Ray and Nova Marie Strong (Russell); his brothers, Rondell, Richard and Roy Strong; and his niece Candida Ferguson.

He is survived by : his sons, Tony Strong of Tompkinsville and Josh Strong; his wife Ashlee of Gum Tree; his grandchildren, Cassie, Abram and Titus Strong; and his brothers, Jeremy Yokley and Eddie Wilson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, June 10th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, June 11th 2024 from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bartley & Sons - Tompkinsville (204 Columbia Ave, Tompkinsville, KY 42167). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, June 11th 2024 at 12:15 PM at the Old Soldiers Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Old Soldiers Cemetery in memory of Roger.
