He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladen Shields and Jean Carolyn Scearce (Wiggington); his son Robert Scearce II; and his brother Ernest Daymude. He is survived by: his former wife Patricia Ann Rivers; his wife Pat Scearce; his daughter Melanie Berger; his grandsons, Zachery of Elizabethtown and Nicholas Berger of Elizabethtown; his sisters, Janet Adrian of Florida and Ramona Williams of Florida; his sister-in-law Jeanette Daymude of South Carolina; and his nieces, Jennifer Harlin and Jessica Boyce.
