He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Collins (Meece) and Homer Collins; and his wife Betty Goad Collins. He is survived by: his sons, Patrick (Casey Collins) and Christopher (Samantha Collins); his grandchildren, Vanessa, Kristina, Austin, Alayna, Maylee, Jaron, Weston and Lane Collins; and his sisters, Jennifer Phillips of Bowling Green, KY and Gwen Brown (Billy) of Gamaliel, KY..
