She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Copas and Minnie Nancy Copas (Short); and her granddaughter Patricia Short. She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Ann Short (Willie Coe) of Hestand, James Steven Hurd (Bonnie) of Winchester and Gary "Bounce" Hurd (Sherry); her sisters, Eva Nell Spear of Tompkinsville and Callie Jean Choate of Martinsville, IN; and her grandchildren, Amanda Birge and Chris Hurd.
