He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Bransford Ray and Lecta Ann Ray (Deckard); his wives, Fay Ray (Spears) and Becky Rich Ray; and his sisters, Peggy Ray and Patsy Jernigan.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Johnson (James) of Palatka, Darrell Ray (Linda) of Martin and Philip Ray (Myrna) of Lexington, Kentucky; his stepchildren, Sherry Graves (Edward) of Tompkinsville, Stacey McPherson (Kenny) of Summer Shade, Kristi Annette Bartley (Tony) of Tompkinsville, Gregory Joe Rich of Tompkinsville and Barry Moore Rich (Suzannah) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Emily, Austin, Tamara and Alexander Ray; and his nephew Jim Jernigan. He is also survived by thirteen step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren.
