Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Mattie Sheffield of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, who passed away at the age of 85, on September 26, 2020. She was predeceased by: her parents, Matt Walden and Ada Walden (Pickerell); her husband Delbert Lee Sheffield; and her brother Ralph Walden. She is survived by: her children, Brenda Bartley (Darrell) of Tompkinsville, Donna Groce (Ralph) of Burkesville and Danny Sheffield of Tompkinsville; her grandchildren, Lori Brown (Kerry), Kim Smith (Dean), Jamie England (Jesse), Kevin Johnson (Leslie), Nathan Johnson (Crystal) and Ashley Sheffield (Amanda); her great grandchildren, Stephen Burnett, Blake, Garrett Smith, Griffin Sheffield, Hayden, Layni England, Kaleb and Avery Johnson; and her sister Loraine Butler of Tompkinsville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
For the protection of Mrs. Sheffield's family, it is kindly asked for anyone coming to the services to abide by Governor Beshear's recommendation of wearing a mask and practicing social distancing.
