It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Nixon of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, who passed away on December 31, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joyce Nixon to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Owen Belle and Olene Halcomb Holland; her sister Susie Harlin; her brothers-in-law, William Harlin and Billy Murphy; and her great-niece Molly Harlin.
She is survived by: her husband Paul Wendell Nixon; her sons, Johnny Paul (Jill) of Bowling Green and Corey Nixon (Wendy) of Tompkinsville; her sister Betty Jo Murphy of Gamaliel; her grandsons, Luke Nixon (Kelsey Johnson) and Spencer Nixon; her stepgrandchildren, Makenna Rouse and Landon Smith; and her stepgreat-grandchild Luxley Smith.
For the protection of Mrs. Nixon's family, it is asked that anyone attending the visitation or the funeral service to wear face coverings and to refrain from any physical contact such as hugs and handshakes to combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Alternate expressions of sympathy may be made to the First Baptist Church or Charity of Choice in memory of Mrs. Joyce Nixon.
