He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara Payne (Jones) and Levy Payne; and his siblings, Gene, Junior Payne and Gerea Combs.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Bosley Payne; and his sisters, Pat Payne of Tompkinsville, KY and Pearline Pare (Garner) of Tompkinsville, KY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
