He was predeceased by: his parents, Alma Chappell (Dyer) and Jack Chappell; his daughter Shari Denise Chappell; and his sister Jean Poland. He is survived by: his wife Jean Chappell of Tompkinsville, KY; his daughter Sheila Troutt (Ricky) of Westmoreland, TN.; his grandchildren, Shane Davis (Natalie), Carrie Beth Parks (Marcus) and Candi Morrow (Jeff); and his great grandchildren, Aidan Davis, Katie Parks, Hannah Young, Isabella Parks, Jackson Parks, Cooper Troutt and MaKenna Morrow.
For the protection of Mr. Chappell's family, it is kindly asked for anyone coming to the services to abide by Governor Beshear's recommendation of wearing a mask and practicing social distancing. No public lounge is available at this time due to COVID-19.
