She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Bartley and Debbie Bartley (Strode); her husband Herman Reed Hammer; her siblings, Billy, Ben, Leslie, Lynn Bartley, Dolly McMillian, Ida Thompson and Nova Pearl Bartley; and her grandson Troy Murphy.
She is survived by: her children, Darlene Murphy of Summer Shade, Diane Turner of Mud Lick and Danny Hammer of Summer Shade; and her sister Edith Cleary of Tompkinsville.
