With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gilbert Matteson of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, who passed away on November 18, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Verchie Lee Berry (Stephenson) and Marvin Gilbert Matteson; and his brothers, Willis Dean Matteson, Ryley Carl Matteson, Martez Don Charles Matteson and Wade Andrew.
He is survived by: his children, Melinda Pool (Matteson), Mike Matteson, Nick Matteson and Jeff Matteson; and his siblings, Joel Lewis Matteson and Jessie Lee Matthews. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Yokley-Trible Funeral Home (510 W 4th St, Tompkinsville, KY 42167). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 at the Harlans Crossroads Cemetery.
