With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Mae Watson of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, who passed away on June 9, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Avery Hale and Tommie Smith Hale; her husband Ray Watson; her daughter Shirley Bryant; her siblings, James, John, Eugene, Earl B., Bill Hale, Lois Cockriel, Ruby Muse and Nancy Pennington; and the father of her children Ervin Gearlds.
She is survived by: her children, William Gearlds (Jean) of Tompkinsville, Lorraine Webb of Tompkinsville, Janice Ferguson of Tompkinsville, Tim Gearlds (Shelia) of Tompkinsville and Stevie Gearlds (Sharon) of Tompkinsville; and her sisters, Christine Thornton of Franklin, Jane Adams and Carolyn Adams of Tompkinsville. She is also survived by Thirteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Old Mt. Herman Cemetery in honor of Dorothy.
