He was predeceased by: his parents, Bro. Melvin Eugene and Merlean Holland (Cornwell); and his aunts and uncles, Carlos, James, Guy Holland, Naomi Holland, Iva Crague, Lena Cherry and Mable Cornwell.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Holland of Tompkinsville; his stepchildren, Elizabeth Canning of Lincoln, Nebraska, Kurtis Winter and Taryn Winter of Glasgow, Kentucky; his stepgrandchildren, Autumn, Summer Winter, Charlotte Canning and Baby Girl Due; and his aunt Anna Dare Poland. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers and plants, the family requests that friends plant a tree in memory of Carey.
