It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bobbie Gene Wilson of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, who passed away on January 19, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Theora "Hoover" Wilson and Nellie "Irene" Propes Wilson; his wife Jenetta Davis; his siblings, Herold Wilson, Rachel Glass (Joe) and Rebecca Wilson; and his brother-in-law Loyce Earl Welch.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Clements (Steve) of Tompkinsville, Larry Wilson (Terri Lynn) of Tompkinsville and Amy Thompson (Brad) of Tompkinsville; his grandchildren, Russ (Cierra Clements), Jenna (Nathan Slagle), Neil (Meredith Wilson), Chad (Sydney Wilson), Sara (Ben Leftwich), Sydney Thompson and Wade Thompson (Stella Simmons); his great grandchildren, Wren, Merritt, Hattie, Greer Slagle, Ella, Grady Clements, Hank, Tilly Wilson, Laura and Leah Leftwich; his sister Bonnie Rich (Lenneth) of Glasgow; and his siblings-in-law, Mike Davis (Lisa), Glenda Wilson and Geneva Welch.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bartley & Sons - Tompkinsville (204 Columbia Ave, Tompkinsville, KY 42167). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 12:45 PM at the Monroe County Memorial (456 Old Edmonton Rd, Tompkinsville, KY 42167).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tompkinsville Church of Christ in memory of Bobbie.
