It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bessie Hammer of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, who passed away on July 4, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Carlock and Myrta Carlock (Harlan); her husband Raymond Hammer; her daughter-in-law Kellie Hammer; and her sisters, Ida Cassie McCreary of Nina Hammer, J. C and Zella Myatt.
She is survived by: her children, Paula Hurley, Duane Hammer (Dana) and Brian Hammer (Amy McIntyre); and her grandchildren, Julia Blunt (Jason), Carmen Enlow (Jon), Daniel Hammer (Meaghan), Lauren Hammer (Clay Carnahan), Ty Hammer (Amber), Drew Hammer and Joel Stewart (Cathy). She is also survived by Seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, as well as many loved nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mill Creek Cemetery or to the Tompkinsville First Baptist Church in honor of Bessie.
