She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Copas and Nardie Copas (Stone); her husbands, Clyde Short and James G. Ritter; and her brother-in-law John Kelly Murphy.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Short (Gaye), Jeff Ritter (Angelia), Joni Brown (Ronnie) of Tompkinsville, Teresa Hale (Scott) of Tompkinsville and Suzanne Keele (Alan) of Tompkinsville; and her sister Martha Sue Murphy. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and two nephews.
