He was predeceased by: his parents, Rowland Gauze and Zelphie Preece Gauze; his wife Doris Ella Gauze; and his siblings, Jimmy, Sherman, Orville, Eckel, Freelin, Lucian Gauze, Flora Moore, Florence Hale, Mildred Howard, Minerva Jones, Hazel and Ruby Pigg.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Darlene Moore (Lee), Garry Gauze (Denise), Vadis Chip Gauze (Teresa), Terry Howell (Sheila), Sherry Brown (George), Gary Howell (Debbie), Barry Howell, Debbie Hill and Roger Honrine. He is also survived by 37 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren and his children.
