He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Blackburn, Sr. and Mae Muncy Blackburn; his wife Olivene Stepp Blackburn; and his siblings, Melvin Blackburn, Mavis Taylor, Mildred Adkins, Jean Hager, Nada Scott, Linda Linville and Lulla Hall.
He is survived by: his sons, John Blackburn (Rita) of Columbus, OH and Melvin Bruce Blackburn (Lori) of Grove City, OH; his sisters, Margaret Daniels of Colegrove, OH and Mary Cline of Lovely, KY.; and his grandchildren, John Blackburn (Brittany), Angie Messer (Bob), Katie Brigner (Tracy), Matthew Blackburn (Jessica) and Daniel Blackburn (Chanda). He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Martin County Senior Citizens Center.
