He was predeceased by: his parents, Vilas Maggard, Sr. and Clotee Spears Maggard; his former wife Betty Helen Asher Maggard; his wife Janice Maggard; and his children, Barbara Jean Maggard, Connie Davidson and Osalee Maggard.
He is survived by: his siblings, Howard, Mitchell Lynn Maggard, Jimmy Maggard, Ruby Jean Pendergrass and Kitty Miller; his children, Jerry Maggard (Marietta), Stanley Allen Maggard (Brenda), Wayne Maggard (Pam), Charlie Maggard and Sharon Brown (Wayne); and his siblings, Robert "Bob" Maggard (Gaynell), Denny Maggard, Peggy Garrett and Norma Jean Owens.
