He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Edwards and Emma Edwards (Fields); his former wife Patsy Edwards (Taylor); and his sisters, Virgie Williams, Naomi Smith, Barbara Blake and Georgia Bodner.
He is survived by: his wife Thelma Blankenship Edwards; his children, Dwayne Edwards (Kim), Rhonda Sue Callaway (Charles) and Sandy Green (Bill); his sister Ivery Becknell; and his grandchildren, Ashley Smith, Amanda Baker, Jake Green and Neal Green. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
