He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert E. Jeffries and Sara Elizabeth Brewer Jeffries; his son Raymond Keith Jeffries; and his siblings, Betty Burgin, Ona McCormick, Lillian Clark, Dorothy Hawkins, Emma Louise Byrd and Franklin Jeffries.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Bowman Jeffries; and his children, Pamela Sue Jeffries of Frankfort, Teresa Jeffries-Rivas (Eleazar) of Frankfort, Sam Johnson (Stacy) of Indiana and Duke Johnson of Prestonburg. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
