He was predeceased by: his children, Robert Spears, Paulette Steele and Pamela Evans; and his siblings, Georgia May Cregger, Shelby Lawson and Walter Edward Cleary.
He is survived by: his wife Loisa Taylor Cleary; his children, Zachary Cleary (Tammy), Kathy Romeo (Angelo), Ginger Mills (Ray), Genette Finney (David) and Petrellia Coppola (Augustino); and his sisters, Norma White (Jerry), Louise Cregger and Francess West-Poma. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
