He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul King and Frances Elizabeth King; his wife Remona King; his children, James Sr., Delbert King, Carolyn, Wendy and Deborah Lynn King; his grandson Johnny Hogan; his son-in-law Troy Hogan; and his brothers, Charlie, Terry, Bobby Joe and Paul King.

He is survived by : his children, Yvonne Hogan, Karen Sturgill (Clint), Starr Berry and Royce King Jr. (Debbie); and his siblings, Mike, Jerry L. King Sr. (Monica), Lorraine Cox and Patty King Bruce (Rick). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
