He was predeceased by: his parents, Hollie Jewell and Cora Hilbert Jewell; his son Brad Allan Jewell; and his siblings, Paul, Bobby, Kenneth Jewell and Margie Redmon.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Jewell (Melissa) of Bardstown, Kevin Jewell of Bloomfield and Lori Rogers (Louis) of Bloomfield; and his siblings, Connie, Debbie, Barbara, Jackie and Hollie "Popeye". He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
