He was predeceased by: his father Ralph "Sonny" Merritt Harris Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Esther Miller Harris; his partner Allie Harris; his sister Cathy Fleig (Doug); his daughters, Tracy Green (Chris), Melissa Harris, Robin Dohner (Jeremy) and Shelbie Harris (Darby Atcher); his nephews, Jamie Fleig (Cori Clark) and Tyler Fleig (April); and his close friend Steve Tobe.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, or the Arrow Fund.
