He was predeceased by: his father John Ed Hilbert; and his brothers, Kenneth Hilbert, Namon Milburn and Bobby Milburn. He is survived by: his mother Minnie Cook Curtsinger; his wife Teresa May Lewis Hilbert; his daughters, Daisy Cox (Bob) of Taylorsville, Christy Baize (Christopher) of Taylorsville and Melissa Johnson (Harry) of Taylorsville; his siblings, Brenda Rogers (Brad) of Chaplin, Sherman Milburn (Adina) of Taylorsville, Stevie Milburn (Laura) of Taylorsville, Terry Milburn (Denise) of Chaplin and Joy Lewis (Jerry) of Chaplin; and his grandsons, Josh Cox, Brayden King and Anthony King. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
