She was predeceased by: her parents, George, Sr. Taurman and Maude Taurman; her husband Lelon Payton; her siblings, George Taurman, Jr. and Carolyn Slagle; and her grandson Nicholas Hemmer.
She is survived by: her children, Randal, Charles, Glenn, Timothy Payton, Patsy Glass and Jill Hemmer; and her siblings, Jim Taurman, Jerry Taurman and Janice Bersaglia. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
