He was predeceased by: his father Roy Shortt; his siblings, Flaudine Adams, Ed Shortt and Chester Shortt; and his granddaughter Ashley Bell.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Shortt; his daughters, Sabrina Barnett (Tim) and Stephanie Linton; his grandchildren, Nicholas Barnett, Jacob Barnett, Meredith Barnett, Ryan Linton and Katie Bell; his great grandchildren, Kenyon Teague, Kinsley Dever and Penelope Bell; and his siblings, Sarah Jones and Ron Shortt.
