He is survived by: his children, Ashley Shelden of Louisville, Lindsay Shelden of Louisville and Richard Shelden of Louisville; and his siblings, Gayle Schmidt of Taylorsville, Paula Wheeler of Louisville and John Robert Shelden (Jim) of Louisville.
