She was predeceased by: her parents, Shirley Derice and Tressie Mae Thurman Johnson; her spouse Jessie Helton; and her daughters, Peggy Sue Helton and Celia Jewell.
She is survived by: her children, Jessie Earl Helton of Taylorsville, Martha Jane Helton of Taylorsville and Mary White (Rick) of Jeffersonville, Indiana; her siblings, Pauline Stevens of Taylorsville, Mary Williams of Taylorsville and Butch Johnson of Taylorsville; and her granddaughters, Frances, Jenny and Amanda. She is also survived by her five great-grandchildren.
