He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Wells and Bess Irene Edwards Gaddie; and his brothers, James "Pete" Gaddie, Bennie Dale Gaddie and Larry Glenn Gaddie.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Hensley Gaddie of Shelbyville; his children, Jennifer Roberts (Clinton) of Shelbyville and Brian Gaddie (Susan) of Shelbyville; his siblings, Bruce Gaddie of Taylorsville and Rosemary Gaddie Smith (Richard) of Louisville; his sister-in-law Vicki Gaddie of Bardstown; and his grandchildren, Drew Gaddie, Cameron Roberts, Kate Gaddie and Connor Roberts (Lily Roadcap). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
