He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Jesse and Alice Eloise Kendall Platt; and his daughter Jennifer Desjardins. He is survived by: his wife Lois Platt of Taylorsville; and his children, Rebecca Martin of Silver City, Cynthia Erickson (Ray) of Louisville, Diana Lankford (Terry) of Whitehouse, Deann Edison of Nashville, Tennessee, Lin Nease (Mia) and Lon Nease (Shannon) of Cincinnati, Ohio. He is also survived by his seventeen grandchildren; and his eighteen great-grandchildren.
