He is survived by: his wife Bettye Yates; his children, Rebecca Yates and Tony Redmon; his grandchildren, Barbara, Elizabeth Yates, Erika Montgomery and Courtney Hodge; his great grandchildren, Madison, Brooklyn, Avery Yates, Gabe and Kai Hodge; and his close friend Ernest Montgomery.
