He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezra Stout and Versie Godsey Stout; and his siblings, Loyd Baker, Boyce Baker, Pauline Baker Hancock, Harold Baker, George Stout, Lawrence "Red" Stout, Norman Stout and Charley Stout.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Stout; his children, Ezra Scott Stout (Amanda Richardson) of Westview, Kimberly Pruitt of Lyles, TN and Melody Joy Stout of Tateville; his siblings, James Russell Stout (Diane Faye) of Tateville, Harlan Stout of Ferguson, Hobert Stout of Monticello and Ella Mae Davis of Tateville; and his grandchildren, Sara Katherine Mardis, Aaron McKenzie Pruitt, Aubrey Kellyn Pruitt, Madison Joy Fiste and Zona Lynne Stout.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
