He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond W. Hayes and Maxine Ashley Hayes; and his siblings, Peggy Priddy and Alan Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Davis Hayes; his children, Danny Hayes (Pat) of Brownsville, Jeff Hayes of Brownsville and Dr. Anna Leigh Hayes of Sweeden; and his grandchildren, Ray Smith (Emily), Lindsay Mencer, Nick Smith (Toni), Lauren Black (Josh), Noah Powell, Leilani Powell, River Powell and Ella Mae Powell. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
