He was predeceased by: his children, Cheryl Ann Alexander, Rhonda Alexander and David Alexander. He is survived by: his wife Lula "Tootie" Whitlow Alexander; his children, Debbie (Tom Covington) of Florida, Steven Alexander of Florida, Renee Alexander of Colorado, Scott Alexander of Massachusetts, Tonya (Steve Shofner) and Greg (Denise Whitlow); and his brother Timmy Alexander. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
