He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Elliott McCubbin and Lura Mae Goff McCubbin; his son-in-law Eddie Blakeman; his siblings, Gene McCubbin and Lily Bean; and his niece Carol Ann Rose.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Jean Warren McCubbin of Summersville; his children, Patty (Larry Payne), Paula Blakeman of Virginia and Donald Everett; his daughter-in-law Kathy McCubbin of Elizabethtown; his grandchildren, David Blakeman, Whitney Dula and Amanda Shawley; and his great grandchildren, Harper, Deakon, Andi, Everett and Eddie. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Aetna Grove Cemetery Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
